10 Free Med Spa Marketing Hacks To Grow Your Business

Coming up with new and fresh ways to market your Med Spa can feel like a never-ending cycle. You want to stay on top of your A-game to attract new clients as well as keep your current clients coming back time and time again. If you're looking for some new approaches (or just need a refresher), this list will put the pep back in your step and might even get you kind of excited to get a move on!

Hack # 1: Include a Pop Up on your website

A pop-up with contact info on your website’s homepage is a great way to grab the attention of potential clients right away! Since pop-ups normally have to be clicked off, they are a great addition to your website to make the user pause and read. 

Some ideas for a pop-up you could use are “ Get 10% Off your next appointment”, “Join our VIP list to get 20% off services”, and “ Get $100 off Lip Fillers”.

You can utilize any promotion you want. Make sure your potential client can fill out their contact info, so you can send them an email with their offer and a link to book. Or better yet, when they fill out their contact info and click the submit button direct them right to your booking page!

Hack #2: Put SEO KEYwords on your website

SEO, which stands for Search Engine Optimization, is a collection of keywords that people search for that show them your Med Spa business

Here’s how you find out what your keywords are: they’ll be a mix of your city or town name and what you do - i.e. “Denver’s Top Med Spa” or “ San Francisco Botox”.

Once you know what your keywords are, start adding them to your website; your homepage, about page, and services page are the perfect places to add these words and phrases.


Hack #3: Send a ‘We Miss You” email to clients you haven’t seen lately

Haven’t seen a client in a while? Send them a short and sweet email!

Tell them about all the things happening at your Med Spa lately. New services? Events? Retail Products? Let them know what’s been going on and then offer them something to interest them in coming back in. A simple “10% off your next appointment” or a “ Get a free skincare after kit when you book” can make the difference between seeing a client again.

Pro Tip: Make your offer limited time so they grab it on the spot!

Hack #4: Create Reels on Instagram

REELS, REELS, REELS! Reels are BLOWING up! They may seem daunting, but I promise they really aren’t. A quick, fun reel showcasing your staff or treatment is the fastest way to grab attention and engagement on social media!

Get your staff and current clients involved and make it fun! The more fun you have the more new clients will want to come into your engaging atmosphere

Hack #5: Create a Referral Reward Program

You’re probably getting referrals from current clients, Am I right?

Why not reward them for giving them out?

Create simple “referral cards” and hand them out to your favorite clients. and when those referral cards come back to you in the hands of new clients, reward your referee with a gift card, free facial or a discount on a treatment of their choice!

Hack #6: Include 5 Star Reviews on your website

Reviews from clients that love what you do are as good as gold!

Collect the reviews you get on your Google My Business account, Yelp, and Facebook and put them on your website. You can either add these to your Home page or create a separate reviews page!

Hack #7: Partner with other local businesses

This is a fun, collaborative, and a highly-effective way to build your professional network.  

Look for local businesses that cater to the same type of clientele. Some examples of businesses to partner with are local gyms and hair salons. Provide the employees with discounts to come in and check out your Med Spa. This is a great way to get them to see firsthand how awesome your Med Spa is.

If they like your spa they will feel obligated to share their experience with their clients and friends! As you already know word of mouth is one of the strongest forms of advertising.

Hack #8: Set up a Selfie Station

This is one of my favorite hacks!

To create the perfect setting for your selfie area, locate a patch of neutral wall, or use a pop-up background. You can also design a personalized background with your Med Spa logo, social media handle, and/or hashtag.

Make your selfie station a fun experience for your clients. That way, they’ll want to take a few snaps before they leave! After all, it’s when they look (and feel) their best that they’re willing to share.

Be sure to ask clients to tag you and your Med Spa in posts and stories. You may just get a quick testimonial for your efforts. If your Med Spa has a rewards system in place, consider awarding points for each tagged post shared.

Hack #9: Send Birthday Specials and Holiday Specials

Letting clients know that you care about the special events in their lives takes your Med Spa to a whale different level. Surprise your clients with beautiful messages and a special discount (20% Off, Free Facial, Gift box)  on their birthdays and special holidays.

Make sure to collect their information in your CRM or email database and be sure to have a calendar reminder set for client birthdays. They will love the thoughtfulness of this gesture, and probably take you up on your gift - which gets them back in your Med Spa and ready to spend some money. 

Hack #10: Utilize Facebook Groups

There are a bunch of local groups in your town or city where people hang out and talk about their lives and share their businesses. A quick search on Facebook of “[your city name] business network” or something similar will bring up various groups you can become a member of.

Join a group and introduce yourself! Share a pic of your Med Spa or staff and give a little background. Don’t be salesy, just encourage people to stop by for a visit. 

Make sure to get involved in conversations within the group, provide value and answers to members questions whenever possible. Get in there and have fun making connections!
